didn’t realised it was that long since I keyed in few words in this website… maybe I was in my other website, www.tagadabaw.com/sj well, not quite sure. if you tried t access this new one without success, let me know.

am still here. too much to do, thats it. just didn’t get the chance to scribbble here. i found a new job in a big hospital in Perth and just on the last day of the term, I was asked by the deputy principal in my children’s school if am interested to work for a term as education support.
of course i said yes. i have been don the end of the earth then up searching for jobs that suits me and the family schedule and just in a matter of week, these two jobs came into my lap wanting to be taken over soon.

as i told my a colleague at my former workplace, rocky bay, she said, well, the door closes and another door opens. so here i go. not spending my weekend and weeknights for job searching anymore, (not that i am too religious about it) am just glad, got an office work and teaching job. but credit to my first two jobs. that was the extreme of what i wa prepared to do to gain experiences. am glad i did it and am off as a working mum, city gurl for 2.5 days and and a part time teacher’s assistant at the same school where mel and bien goes. Easy…. now am laughing. Thanks to all who wished me the best to find these jobs. (my auntie marit will be relieved. have to get those dosh coming a-ha!)

pardon my text. cant be bothered at the moment typing the capital letters. too much of keying since yesterday and today. thats my job… (typing)

How are you going folks? It’s nearly 5 months and such a hectic time it was! I thought I would be able to drop in the line since the last one but then, I have been job hunting and and got the job, then I decided, its not the one for me so I keep lookin again. Then the holiday season came and then I got caught on relatives visiting and staying over so much as their stay went down well, I have to do a lot of catching up myself in my personal activities.

But here I am again, still kickin my heels around, and having said that, I found a casual job in a non profit organisation just 25 minutes walk from my home by the riverside. Most of the days, its pleasant to walk but there are those days when I just wish I stay home becasue it is stinkin’ hot and humid. My job is called a disability support worker in a day center. A little bit different but its the kind of job that helps me reflect on what I’ve got, that I am blessed that I can walk. Most of our clients are wheelchair bound and though they are al mentaly alert, it takes them a while to communicate to someone. The thing is, they are happy and content and they make the most of what they got… Most of all, they appreciate my help. That’s what matter most.

I hop off for now, shifting to the kitchen department of my house. I catch up again later on. Have a good one..

It’s been two weeks now since we landed back here in Perth, yet the bags were still left unpack and souvenirs and brick a bracks still hanging in one place waiting to be disposed and looking for its own place at home.

Am still in the process of reorganising stuff around the house and getting ontop of my posts, emails and bills and so on, but the memories we have on the recent holiday just keps creeping in. Well, it was a whole month of September and the stay in Davao City was just a big break….
The children I will always come back home to Davao from to time should resources permit but the highlight of the overall trip is always the “side trip” as we all call it.

This time it’s the Island of Sentosa in Singapore. We arrived in Singapore finally at 2 o clock in the morning. We flew Cebu Pacific airways so that brought us to land in the quaint budget terminal of Singapore. I was hoping we all get into the queue earlier but alas, the two bambinos declared they needed a visit to the parents room and so we did just to find out that we are miles (I should say) away to get cleared from the immigration. Thankfully I spoted an empty lane meant for APEC and crew only, and without hesitating I rushed along with my two young sleepy heads and declared…”Australian Passport Please”. The officer wanted to deny us I guess but has the heart when he saw my littlies barely opening their eyes so in less than 10 minutes we were all cleared at the immigration. (later I know, I have to get myself an application for an APEC card on the official website)

The next thing to worry about was our luggage. All four bags has been recovered except for the smallest blue wheely bag of Bien that was full of hotwheels cars! This point in time, i can’t afford to lose it. There’ll be tantrums, showdowns coming up. And Alas, bob is your aunty!, it creeped out eventually. This time, my patience has been at its lowest.

Off to find a car to take us to Changi Village hotel, I thought we going to get a free ride form the hotel but not, so thats ok, I am not really expecting too much at two oclock in the morning anymore, so I hire a cab. We are lucky this time. We got Mr. Lim who drives a Maxi Cab, and he just knew, what service I will need form him.

He picks us up the next day from the hotel and took us to Sentosa. He often offered to get our lunch, a cheap 2 dollar healthy lunch long the way, still close to the village. This time, excitemnet is brewing upon the prospect of finally staying at Sentosa Island at Siloso Beach Resort and to see the show of Songs of The Sea in that evening.

So we checked in, and was a given the room the non smoking room, away from busy buzz of a resort hotel, just what I needed indeed. The receptionists were all very helpful, the concierge was very accomodating and the rest of the staff we met on the corridors e.g. cleaners were all courteous and polite. And the complimentary breakfast was superb. My two little munchers never ran out of interesting food to eat. Just as well we go down around 9.30 in the morning. what we ate could last even after lunchtime.

I might keep writing about it, as it was a charming little holiday.

Yes, we are indeed have landed back to the land of the Eagles and Dockers! (thats the two big football team in WA). And the home of the Castle Dines…. (big vegan eaters!)

Our outbound trip that started Sept 29 after a wet afternoon in Makati plus a 2 hour delayed flight by the one and only Cebu Pacific bound for Singapore have finally ended. (Well, at least for few months till we found a bucket of gold coin to buy a tickets)

The Sentosa escapade was great! Well, you just have to believe me, I can’t show you any pictures (left my camera to the hands of Goldwyn) but the bambinos have a blast, running here and there, swimming on the cloudy waters of the Merlion fountains. We never missed a show of the Songs of the Sea on our 3 night stay. Mel and bien just love the whole thing. And in those 3 nites, we never missed a pinoy in the benches as well, screaming….”Aaaaaay, ang ganda! ang galing naman… and on and on and on.”

We stayed at Siloso Beach Resort, a room just right for us, always on the go, yet coming back to sleep in the serenity of sorrounds, the noise you can hear outside in the evening are the fountains of the lily pads. Bien was so pleased to see a liliy pad. He said, wow, this is the first time I saw a lily pad!

So much to say… I think yo just have to watch out for more. I am off to do dishes!!! Ahgg, thats the thing with holidays…… work, work, domestics, routines, Can’t wait for the next one.

I am still struggling to get back to my normal routine, well, I can’t do the aussie routines since am here in Davao, quiet different environment and lifestyle. So, anyway, since I’ll be finishing this long overdue post here, I will make a bisaya blog… this is the start. But first, magtabi sa ta sa kasal sa akoang manghud nga gwafa pareha nako! Well, she can argue that on her wedding day, she was the most beautiful girl in the face of the earth. I think that is sabotable (understandable bah!). Pero I was amazed, that most of my old time friends thought, I just landed from the US of America and had just visited Orlando plastic surgeon when in fact my hair and make up was all done in the Bajada Salon called “Bliss”. Fantastic job! And the rest of my overall presentation is credited to my genes! O di ba? Ask the bride .

For the wedding coordinator it could have been better, but for the rest of the guests, It was just a best wedding ever! Let me qoute one of the ninongs, “It was a heartwarming wedding indeed!” Oh anong say mo?

I have heard that the the biggest cosmetic makeover in the Phiippines was the recent search for “Miss Ugly No More and it was sponsored by Beverly Hills Cosmetic Surgery and Skin Institute.
It was a big leap on the part of this new company but since the Beverly Institute has respectable doctors, its first project has become a success.

The girls said to have underwent a series of beauty treatments and surgeries, including breast augmentation, dermatological care and dental procedures after the public voted for them through text messages as Miss Ugly’s Top 3. Then, a group of judges chose the winner, Victorioso.
I wonder if the above sponsor is affiliated with the cosmetic surgery in Beverly Hills, CA.

It was an accident when Jessica Simson broke her nose, or so they say. Jessica broke her nose when she fell over while running with a gun, and accidentally smacked herself in the face with it.

The singer was shooting scenes for her new movie Major Movie Star, where she plays an American Hollywood actress dumb enough to give up her pampered showbiz life and join the army instead. Cool. At least she has something to justify it with, the job done to her nose. What’s next? Maybe the next time we knew of her is that she has undergone plastic surgery in Houston, Texas. Why not if that can boost her career to a greater heights.

Panick, panick, panick! There’s just so many things to do before I head off to the Philippines. Today I just spent the entire day in the kitchen, filling the freezer’s space with pre-cooked food for my dearest hubby who will be left behind. Then there’s the packing ( or the unpacking of the “edited stuff”, you know, the Mel-can-go-on-without-this-Cinderella-dress and Bien-can-live-without-this-tattered-red-shirt…huh! My kids can be very particular with me taking thier favorite stuff. And my assignment for school. Geez…this is one of those moments that I wished I were Elastic Girl.
Gotta go now, just need to air my rants…thanks for listening. I’ll just rest for a while then I will be off again to do last minute packing. Meantime let me get something to much. I can forgive myself this time for being slack in dieting. My next vacation will be in the US for Miami cosmetic surgery .

My daughter woke one morning, before our trip up north and announced, Ohh oh, something wrong with my nose. And her dad came to her rescue saying, “there’s nothing wrong in your nose, n fact you haven’t had any”.

That’s a joke my hubby always says to his children as he is so thankful the kids didn’t get his knows. Well, its not too prominent but he is just so pleased my children were endowed with dainty nose, except that its noisy (otherwise means, could be runny or stuffy in winter, but hey, everyone gets it)

Unlike that other Sarah I mentioned in other article, now that she got boob job, eyebrow job, she is still considering a nose job in Christmas, why not… She’s here in WA but otherwise, I would recommend Chicago Rhinoplasty .
