Did anyone have a great long weekend? Or shall I say refreshing Easter break? Well, I did!
Thanks to the Fremantle Street Festival where I was a proud spectator in the last two days. The famous Australian Street Festival attracts hundreds and thousands of awe-struck, excited and delighted audience every year. Fremantle is reknowned for its southern European, particularly Italian, influences. This makes for a fantastic array of restaurants, entertainment, festivals and maritime activities and lively conversations!
The shows were awesome, but at some stage, I could not resist the aroma coming from the restaurants along cappuccino strip. I console myself, just when this show finishes, I get myself a hearty meal of seafood in one of these Italian restaurants here, but at the same time, honestly, I really don’t want to miss a show, after all, this is why I came to Freo.
I’m on a holiday myself (I pretend I am in my own exotic place) so before this week ends, I’ll treat myself to a Premium, Italian Seafood Gourmet Pasta, fantastico!
I suppose, If I happen to be in San Diego, California, (my cousin Ira leaves there but I can’t pull a holiday yet to this place, so I remained in my home Freo), I’ll be browsing restaurants and won’t miss one of San Diego’s Banquet facilities
and grab a glass of good lovely Red!
Apprezzare!
Few weeks ago, myself and friend Dolly went for a retail therapy in the City’s big shooping area and scrambled our way into a table of further discounted shirts. The print suddenly caught my attention, “Lovely Summer Time” it says, so I then took it with me and went straight into the counter to pay for it, not even remembering to check if its the right size, well, luckily its size 12.. Yeah, thats it. Its Autum here in Western Oz now, but I still use the shirt, well, just every other day actually.
There is so much on shirt slogans, prints that captivates our interests, our way of expressing our thoughts, what we feel and what we believed. Check this out and if it suits you go for it, affliction clothing
So when they ask, What’s in a Shirt? Then you knew.
Last night, I was sooooo tired and thought a flicked on the telly might calm me down before bedtime, but alas, the show was all about celebrity make over, ah, this is interesting, so I grab a shot of Baileys and put my feet up, a drink on my left hand and remote control on the right hand ( it doesn’t usually stay long in my hand, but tonight is my night and remote control is all mine too).
The celebrities some looking glamourous and some, well, just ok, to think that all of them have gone under the knife. Demi Moore, Melanie Griffiths, Michael Jackson, to name a few.
I’ve learned that people who have done it first, specially celebrities, will keep asking for it, in search for perfection. Some did well, some were not quiet successful. Their face value lies in the hands of their surgeons. Not only it enhances their looks, but it had helped their self esteem as well, of course.
Plastic surgery is not for everyone, but if it’s for you why not visit Los Angeles facelift
who knows, like those celebrities, not only their carreer have soar but their bank balance as well!
For most of us, buying a car is a second largest investment in our lifetime, well, just after buying a house. I most cases we are confronted with many questions on what to look for, what we need and what we like in our car. We don’t want to end up buying something that doesn’t suit our lifestyle. There are other factors that we need t look at when contemplating what car is right for us, some of these are; good fuel economy, price, safety features,style/image,comfort, reputation of the manufacturer, reliability, performance, power and value for money.
I used to to think that buying a car and owning it is partly for the gratification of saying ” Hey, Wanna Ride My Car Baby?” but alas, there’s more than that. Spykers for sale is a place to be, and before you knew it, you’re on the road to more adventure.
This is making me really hungry now, San Diego Restaurants show me the best and sensational taste of the world, come on, bless my appetite!!!
My sort of bulgy tummy grumbling for food, and would it be nice to just go to the restaurant once in a while and be served with sumptous three course meal? I bet anyone won’t say no to this offer. I guess, I should go now and do that while I’m on the state of savouring my moments…
Ciao!
I am still having my post concert blues. I have never been a George Benson Fanatic but his song “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love for You”, brought lots of youthful memories to me. I’d like to thank my friend Rowena for convincing me to watch the concert with her with Wella and her boyfriend at Kings Park, An Evening On the Green, last 24 March.
That night was a blasts! Teaming up with AL Jarreau, the legends have brought smiles to their loyal fans and the whole audience just love it soooo much! We sang with them, danced and laughed and over all, wonderful evening… And yes! Chris Walker, (Al Jarreau’s Band) you’re so handsomely gorgeous!!!
Givin’ it Up concert is a dream come true, I am so glad to be part of your audience. Such is the “Greatest Love of All”.
I already have your latest album downloaded in my itunes.
All the best for your succeeding concerts in Australia.
Click here for the details of their concert here in Perth.
My time is precious, yet it seems that I find myself at this stage, unable to finish a chore or get things done. Do you have those moments too?
Well, I am not in a position to discuss these matters elaborately but I speak from my own experience. It seems to me that my productivity (I chose to call it that way) is highly affected by each cycle…Now, ladies, you will now have a clue on what I am trying to say.
I sat here in front of my computer, for 1.5 hours now because, I cannot bear sitting somewhere else in the house with too many things to do. The jobs around seemed to be in the high priority list of doing and I can’t handle it so I escape. Thinking that writing will be my escape, yet, been here for 2 hours in the keyboard, and couldn’t start a thing. Up until now.
So I stood up, grab a book to have a browse and there! a title says ” If your Efforts Are Blocked (Chapter 16, Women & Anxiety by Helen DeRosis, M.D.) “. So here I am. Let me quote the first few lines written in this beautiful book.
” Real Efforts cannot be blocked unless your motivation is. And if you read “blocked” as conflicted, you can understand what it really means. You are blocked when you are not clear about your priority at any given moment. Remember–simply stated, a conflict is a condition of wanting and not wanting simultaneously. Keeping that point in mind can allow you to select what comes first, right now. When you can chose only one
course to pursue in any one time unit, then you can begin to make practical plans followed by reasonable actions.”
So there you go, ladies, whenever a moment like this comes in for some reason…(I call it, Those Days..) just focus on one thing, and hope for the best, that it all fall into place at some stage, and by then, you find yourself working on something e.g. chores, studies, writing. Speaking of which, I must go. Have to wash breakfast dishes, clean the car, organise tonight’s dinner and do my assignments and pick up my contact lens from the optomitrist.
I blocked no more, just have to start one course first, oh maybe have to snack before dishess….Grrrrrr!
When I think of a home, I think of a place where there’s love overflowing!!!! Am sitting now here listening to my itunes on my computer, and its so tempting to find Kuh Ledesma’s song “home”.
Allow me to indulge in this topic for the moment, as my only way of joining in the excitement of the youngest beauty Eetsie who is currently in Davao, browsing the city streets for more inspiration I suppose and the older beauty Peebles is packing up their bags along with the boys for a month long holiday in the Land of Promise!!!
So where should I take myself now, well, the current music in my Itunes is now playing “One day I fly Away” by Randy Crawford. I’m hopefull then.
I was telling my bro Spacemanto get ready as the parental home will soon be back to life again, with the voices of Koy koy and Oshie and their mum and their Deetsie and something will sure be cooking in the stove for a while, langhap sarap!!!!
So to my two Sistuhs!! Well done for pulling this holiday of yours, who knows, one day, I’ll
be right there at the doorstep, asking…..”Naa pay paksiw nga bulinaw?”
And by the way Sters!, if you find Mr Chips!, give him my hug!!!
After a shower this morning, I dashed to my computer to browse some mails, and as soon as I open my browser, I spot the pictures of famous couple you guess who? Well, the clue is, they are the parents of Shiloh and Maddox and Zahara, three children born in three different countries. And the news is, this couple are now waiting for an approval of their adoption papers from a Vietnamese country, so maybe, in months time, another lucky babe will be welcomed into their household. I live it up to all of you out there, what you reckon about humanitarian act of these couple.
I admire individuals who have genuine heart to help people. There are many of them. Aside from being endowed with a generous spirit, their resources (money, time, effort) afforded them to give to less fortunate but deserving individuals. Some would actively go out there and choose to be known and some have chosen to be unknown. George Lindemann Jr. is one of those individuals, who have taken such steps to bring smiles and make a difference to the less fortunate but more deserving people through his humanitarian projects.
We, regardless of our economic backgrounds could indeed joined the band of making this world a richer place. It just have to start in our own backyard.
Oh, I’m keen on numbers at the moment, thats how my numeracy lessons have affected this side of brain.
Nuh, I haven’t been to the news agent to get my lotto number and the title above isn’t my telephone number either. Put me in TRANCE. Now, I remember, that used to be my vital statistics, you know, the kind of…..head, shoulders, knees and toes… I mean, my upper, middle and lower measurements? Funny. Not that am proud of this, but it seems there’s a bit less and there’s a bit more squeezibly. e.g (-4,+10+4) dare not challenge you anymore. I used to have a single chin too and a deep set eyes!
Thankfully, I still have all my vital parts, it’s just that, well.. kind of. It chose to take its own form in the recent years. Otherwise, I will be forced to take my frequent flier points and fly off to America, to see the curvy side of my thing and have it done at New York Cosmetic surgery! Who says only Oscars wannabes can do it?
Yes, might still have enough points to fly my sagging self there , BUT WHERE’S MY POCKET MONEY? (time to wake up to reality SJ!)
